Tillamook is Ready for Halloween Eve Celebrations

Halloween is creeping up fast, and businesses across Tillamook are gearing up to make the festivities safe, family-friendly, and extra special for our community! With Halloween falling on a Saturday this year, local businesses and community organizations are teaming up to kick off the weekend early. Join us downtown on Friday, October 30 for trick-or-treating and an amazing amount of community spirit.

The festivities begin right in the heart of town with the annual Downtown Trick-or-Treat from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. Local downtown storefronts and community participants will be opening their doors and lining the sidewalks to hand out treats and welcome trick-or-treaters. More than 1,000 costumed kids and families are expected to fill the streets, transforming Downtown Tillamook and Henson Plaza into a bustling, high-energy Halloween celebration. It is a fantastic opportunity to gather your tiny ghosts, superheros, and monsters for a safe, walkable afternoon in the center of town.

The Tillamook County Family YMCA is adding to the excitement with their annual Trunk-or-Treat from 4:00 to 6:00 PM in the YMCA parking lot, complete with creatively decorated vehicle trunks and sweet treats. Just down the road, Tillamook Bay Community College is joining the early-evening lineup from 3:00 to 6:00 PM, hosting a full Halloween carnival with fun activities, fantastic costumes, and plenty of candy for all ages.

Once the downtown and campus festivities wrap up, the evening fun keeps going over at the Tillamook Inn (formerly the Shilo Inn). They are hosting their First Annual Trick-or-Treat event from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, with interactive games, festive treats, and a great setting to wrap up your Halloween Eve route.

With back-to-back activities running from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, Friday night is set to be the ultimate kickoff to the Halloween weekend in Tillamook.

To help keep the little masked mini monsters and goblins safe, officers from the Tillamook Police Department will be out on the streets assisting families with street crossings. If you are driving through town on Friday evening and not participating in the festivities, please stay extra diligent, slow down, and keep a sharp eye out for trick-or-treaters crossing the road.

Grab your treat bag, dress warm, map out your stops, and bring the whole family to support local businesses and organizations while making great memories together. Weโ€™ll see you there!
