There is a unique magic that happens when a community comes together to say “thank you.” In Tillamook County, that magic peaks every year at the Tillamook Chamber Banquet. It’s more than just a dinner; it’s a heartfelt celebration of the people, projects, and businesses that make our corner of the Pacific Northwest a truly exceptional place to live, work, and play.
The journey to the banquet begins each November when we open nominations to the public. We look for businesses and people who go over and beyond. The Businesses that provide more than just services, the Development Projects and Programs that reshape our future, and the Citizens who give tirelessly of their time.
Once nominations close, a dedicated committee of community leaders and past award winners takes on the difficult task of selecting the winners. While the anticipation builds for weeks, the big reveal happens live at the banquet, where we cheer for every finalist and celebrate the impact they’ve made.
Each year, our banquet theme is inspired by the upcoming Chamber trip. This year, we are transporting guests to the Highlands with our theme – A Scottish Sunset! Ashley Christensen and the team have been working tirelessly behind the scenes, planning to transform the space into a beautiful setting where “surprises await.”
To match the theme, Dennis and Amanda Cavitt and the Garibaldi Bistro crew is crafting a specially curated menu of Scottish-inspired cuisine. Between the delicious food and the vibrant atmosphere, it’s a night for the community to dress up, dine well, and enjoy the best company around.
The evening’s entertainment is in expert hands this year. We will welcome back the 2025 Citizen of the Year, Kaylan Sisco, to guide us through the night as our emcee, while Scott Casey provides the lights and music to keep the energy high.
Another exciting highlight is our oral auction. Things tend to get a little competitive (in the best way possible!) as guests bid on fantastic items donated by our thoughtful local partners. If you miss out during the dinner, don’t worry, our virtual auction will be live January 29th!
We can’t wait to see you there under the Scottish Sunset. Let’s raise a glass to the people who make Tillamook shine!
