Grief Support Groups

Grief touches each of us differently, and it doesn’t follow a timeline. Whether you’re grieving the loss of a loved one, navigating a major life change, or carrying emotions that feel difficult to name, you don’t have to walk through it alone.
Beginning Thursday, January 8, 2026, Adventist Health Tillamook is relaunching its Virtual Grief Support Groups to provide a compassionate, supportive space for reflection, connection, and healing. These groups will meet virtually on the first and last Thursday of each month from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., making them accessible to participants wherever they are.
The sessions will be co-led by Cami Aufdermauer, Bereavement Coordinator and Chaplain serving Adventist Health since 2024, and Dr. Pam Strachan, a Board-Certified Chaplain and Bereavement Specialist who is returning to support the Tillamook community she served from 2020 to 2024. Together, they bring experience, empathy, and practical tools to support people through a wide range of loss-related experiences.
These groups are open to anyone experiencing grief of any kind. Participants may explore emotions such as shock, anger, disbelief, guilt, or sadness, while learning healthy ways to cope and finding connection with others who understand what they’re going through. There is no expectation to share more than you’re comfortable with, and each person is welcome to participate at their own pace.
To register, visit: ahlink.org/tillamookgg. Participants will receive an email with details and a link to join each virtual session.
If you or someone you know could benefit from this support, we encourage you to take part or share these event details. Grief is not something to “get over,” but something to move through, together.
