Rockaway Writers Rendezvous

Third annual writers’ conference with presenters and workshops, focused on a wide variety of genres. Pre conference writing contest with winners published in anthology. Local high school student contest winners receive money prizes. Open mics.

New  York Times columnist, author and two time Pulitzer prize winner, Nicholas Kristof will be delivering this year’s Keynote! Dozens of interactive workshops from local and regional writing professionals, screenwriting poetry, self publishing and much more.

Friday April 25th, Open Mic Performance at Tie Breaker, doors open at 6 p.m.

Saturday April 26th Keynote & workshops at Rockaway Community Church Event Space from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Please note that we will not have the final schedule for all workshops until about two weeks prior to the event. There will be two large workshop spaces running concurrently, we are doing our best to schedule them logically. We also may be using the Lion’s Club for a third space depending on demand. Sunday April 27th, Awards Breakfast and Networking at the Lion’s Club doors open at 9:00 am event ends at noon.
