SUMMARY:SYMPHONY PRESENTS CONCERTS IN NOVEMBER
DESCRIPTION:The North Oregon Coast Symphony opens its 2025-26 season with two \nconcerts in November titled “Currents of Emotion.” The programs will feature \nSmetana’s popular symphonic poem The Moldau\, an evocative piece \ndepicting the flow of the Moldau River from its source in the mountains of the \nBohemian Forest\, through the Czech countryside\, to the city of Prague. \nThe performances will offer a variety of other selections as well\, including \nmovements from Mozart’s Symphony No. 40 and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7\, \nBerlioz’s Le Carnaval Romain\, Rossini’s Italian in Algiers Overture\, Strauss Jr.’s \nThunder and Lightning Polka\, and the “Nimrod” movement from Elgar’s \nEnigma Variations. \nThe first concert will take place on Saturday\, November 15 at the Nehalem \nElementary School Gym (36300 8th St.\, Nehalem\, OR) beginning at 3:00 pm. \nThe second concert will be on Sunday\, November 16\, at the Charlene Larsen \nCenter for the Performing Arts (588 16th St.\, Astoria\, OR) at 3:00 pm. \nAdmission for both concerts will be: $10 Adults\, ages 18 and under FREE \n(children 12 and under with adult supervision). \nTickets will be available at the door for the Nehalem concert (cash and \npersonal checks only.) \nTickets for the Astoria concert will be sold online at charlenelarsencenter.org \nor by phone at 503 338 9132. SUMMARY:Symphony presents concerts in June
