SUMMARY:Plein Air Painting at Cape Meares National Scenic Viewpoint  Presented by Friends of Netarts Bay – Watershed\, Estuary\, Beach and Sea (WEBS) 
DESCRIPTION:WEBS is thrilled to present a creative afternoon of open-air painting with Washington-based artist Anna Norris. Join us at the stunning Cape Meares National Scenic Viewpoint and Lighthouse on Monday\, August 25th\, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. “Take advantage of the golden hour light and the sweeping ocean views—this is a perfect opportunity to practice your technique\, meet fellow artists\, and enjoy a relaxing\, creative evening by the sea”\, shared WEBS Director Chrissy Smith.\n\nWe are delighted to have Anna come and share her artistic perspectives on some of the Oregon Coast’s most dramatic landscapes.”I’ve always been interested in art. I was a non-stop doodler in grade school\, then on to pen and ink drawing. In college I was introduced to acrylic and oil paint and that was a game changer”\, shared Anna. She went on to say “the focus of my art is interplay of light\, shadow\, and shapes and my hope is that you can step into the piece and lose yourself”. Bring your inspiration and your supplies for this Plein Air event where artists of all experience levels can capture the dramatic coastal beauty of Oregon’s iconic landscape.\n\nAll participants are responsible for bringing their own art supplies.\n\nWhat to Bring:\n\n 	easels \n\n\n 	canvases \n\n\n 	brushes \n\n\n 	paints\n\n\n 	water \n\n\n 	seating \n\nIt is recommended participants come fully prepared with everything they need to work comfortably outdoors. And don’t forget to stay hydrated.\n\nNew to Painting?\nNot a problem! As a welcoming introduction\, Anna suggests that beginners bring a simple drawing pad and colored pencils to enjoy the experience without pressure.\n\nNote: There is no formal instruction provided\, but the setting and community will provide all the inspiration you need!
