SUMMARY:Tillamook Cowbell Classic Pickleball Tournament
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to introduce the inaugural Tillamook Cowbell Classic Pickleball Tournament\, June 21st-22nd. All proceeds above expenses will go towards new lighting for the indoor courts at the Tillamook County Fairgrounds. \nThe Tillamook High School Girls Tennis Team and the Tillamook Pickleball Club use this facility during the winter months. The current lights are outdated\, inefficient\, and unsafe. Updating the lighting for maximum visibility is a key safety improvement for tennis and pickleball\, and will also allow the Fairgrounds to utilize the facility during the County Fair and the off-season in ways they have not been able to due to poor lighting. \nThis will be a round robin tournament\, with Mens Doubles\, Womens Doubles\, and Mixed Doubles. All participants receive a commemorative T-shirt and gift bag. DESCRIPTION:Tillamook County is developing an Energy Resilience Plan (ERP)—and we want YOUR input! \nFunded by a grant from the Oregon Department of Energy (ODOE)\, this plan will strengthen the county’s ability to prepare for and respond to power outages and energy disruptions. Whether caused by storms\, wildfires\, or other hazards\, we know how disruptive power loss can be. The ERP will help identify vulnerable areas\, prioritize essential services\, and develop long-term strategies like community charging stations and emergency power systems. \nBut here’s the key—this plan is only as strong as the input we receive from the community. We want to hear your experiences with power outages\, your ideas for solutions\, and what you think Tillamook County needs most. \nTo make it easy\, we have a 5-minute online survey you can fill out here: SURVEY LINK \nYou’re also invited to join us for a public feedback session on Wednesday\, June 18\, from 3–6 PM at the Tillamook Creamery. DESCRIPTION:Preschool storytime (PS) on Wed @ 10; developmentally appropriate for 3-5 yos; music\, stories\, interactive play and lots of laughs! In this class little begin to learn about a leader at the front of the room\, how to hold their wiggles\, listening and sitting still. When a child is transitioning from TT to PS my expectation is that they will sit for 5-10 minutes and then they might go play. I do not force them to sit still if they are not ready to. \nA couple of things about the children’s room that might set you at ease: \n\nThere is no expectation that it will be a quiet zone; kids are kids and they are allowed to act like themselves in the children’s room.\nOnly 2 hard and fast rules: No Running & No Screaming.\nIf your child needs a snack\, feed them!
