DESCRIPTION:Preschool storytime (PS) on Wed @ 10; developmentally appropriate for 3-5 yos; music\, stories\, interactive play and lots of laughs! In this class little begin to learn about a leader at the front of the room\, how to hold their wiggles\, listening and sitting still. When a child is transitioning from TT to PS my expectation is that they will sit for 5-10 minutes and then they might go play. I do not force them to sit still if they are not ready to. \nA couple of things about the children’s room that might set you at ease: \n\nThere is no expectation that it will be a quiet zone; kids are kids and they are allowed to act like themselves in the children’s room.\nOnly 2 hard and fast rules: No Running & No Screaming.\nIf your child needs a snack\, feed them!

SUMMARY:Rockaway Beach Tree Lighting &  Holiday Sale
DESCRIPTION:Kick off the Christmas season with the annual tree lighting at the Wayside! Hang your homemade ornament on the community Christmas tree and enjoy the live music\, hot cocoa and cider\, and a place to write letters to Santa beginning at 5:30. The OCSR train will bring Santa at 6:00\, followed by caroling and the tree lighting at 6:30. Local businesses will be open late for shopping\, many with special sales! Canned food and donations for the North Coast Food Bank will also be collected. \nThis event is put on by the City of Rockaway Beach and the Rockaway Beach Business Association.

When a child is transitioning from TT to PS my expectation is that they will sit for 5-10 minutes and then they might go play.
