DESCRIPTION:Preschool storytime (PS) on Wed @ 10; developmentally appropriate for 3-5 yos; music\, stories\, interactive play and lots of laughs! In this class little begin to learn about a leader at the front of the room\, how to hold their wiggles\, listening and sitting still. When a child is transitioning from TT to PS my expectation is that they will sit for 5-10 minutes and then they might go play. I do not force them to sit still if they are not ready to. \nA couple of things about the children’s room that might set you at ease: \n\nThere is no expectation that it will be a quiet zone; kids are kids and they are allowed to act like themselves in the children’s room.\nOnly 2 hard and fast rules: No Running & No Screaming.\nIf your child needs a snack\, feed them!

With stunning illustrations \nand a live accompaniment by North Oregon Coast Symphony musician \nShelley Loring on flute\, children and parents alike will enjoy the happy \nending. Children will learn more about the flute and piccolo as Loring \ndemonstrates her instruments. Children will be able to play a wind \ninstrument after the story. This event is free and open to children ages 3-5 \nand their adults. \nThe North Oregon Coast Symphony\, North Tillamook Library\, and Astoria \nLibrary have formed a partnership to bring live music and hands-on \nmusical instrument experiences to the northern coast of Oregon.
