SUMMARY:Reflecting on Resilience - Exhibit Opening
DESCRIPTION:For 75 years\, stewardship in the TSF has taken many forms – from the daily labor of rebuilding a burned landscape to welcoming visitors into a living classroom. Reflecting on Resilience explores the intertwined histories of service\, restoration\, and public engagement that connect South Fork Forest Camp and the Tillamook Forest Center. Through stories\, artifacts\, and never before publicly displayed photos\, this exhibit invites reflection on how forests\, and our relationship to them\, change over time\, and how today’s stewardship will define the forests of the future.

SUMMARY:Tillamook Main Library Storytime: Preschool
DESCRIPTION:Preschool storytime (PS) on Wed @ 10; developmentally appropriate for 3-5 yos; music\, stories\, interactive play and lots of laughs! In this class little begin to learn about a leader at the front of the room\, how to hold their wiggles\, listening and sitting still. When a child is transitioning from TT to PS my expectation is that they will sit for 5-10 minutes and then they might go play. I do not force them to sit still if they are not ready to. \nA couple of things about the children’s room that might set you at ease: \n\nThere is no expectation that it will be a quiet zone; kids are kids and they are allowed to act like themselves in the children’s room.\nOnly 2 hard and fast rules: No Running & No Screaming.\nIf your child needs a snack\, feed them!

SUMMARY:Trail Building in Nehalem Bay With LNCT!
DESCRIPTION:Every Friday\, volunteers gather on LNCT lands near Manzanita\, Nehalem and Wheeler to protect and restore habitat in the lower Nehalem watershed. We would love to see new faces out on the land!\n\n\n\nThese work parties are beginner friendly and an opportunity to learn about the engineering of hiking trails. We will be working on uneven ground\, bending\, and moving small rocks and brush during this process. Tools and gloves are provided\, new volunteers welcome and no prior experience needed. Join as frequently as you please.  Email shane@nehalemtrust.org for weekly updates on where to meet.\n\nAlder Creek Farm and Natural Area’s Nehalem Teaching Trail already supports an impressive variety of native plants and simulated ecosystems for community learning—but we’re looking to grow. This short trail will extend educational access into a different ecosystem and connect to the Natural Area’s pollinator meadow. We hope it will also add some variety to habitat access for bird watchers who visit the farm as a part of the Oregon Coast Birding Trail.

SUMMARY:Turning the Tide in Oregon’s Blue Ecosystems: Seaweeds & Green Crabs
DESCRIPTION:Join Friends of Netarts Bay – WEBS on Wednesday\, March 18th\, 6:30-7:30 for the second webinar presentation in our 2026 “Producers of the Bay” series! \nOregon’s coastal blue ecosystems are dynamic\, productive\, and increasingly shaped by climate change and invasive species. This webinar explores the ecological roles of seaweeds and invasive green crabs\, and how science-informed\, ancestral stewardship and harvesting practices can contribute to ecosystem resilience. Drawing from marine ecology\, the Indigenous 13 Moons seasonal framework\, and Asian coastal food traditions\, the session connects ecosystem literacy with culinary nourishment. \nDr. Siew Sun Wong from OSU’s School of Nutrition and Public Health and Dr. Samuel Chan from OSU’s Department of Fisheries\, Wildlife\, and Conservation Sciences will share their insights into Oregon’s nearshore systems and how thoughtful harvesting and cooking can transform ecological challenges into opportunities for stewardship and sustainability—while also creating meaningful and nourishing meals. \nSeaweed samples will be available at the WEBS office for pick-up to enjoy during the presentation. Details will be sent to all registrants. \nVisit https://www.netartsbaywebs.org/events to learn more and register. \nQuestions or Cancellations? SUMMARY:Tillamook High Campus Out of the Darkness Walk
DESCRIPTION:Tillamook Family Counseling Center and Tillamook County Suicide Prevention Coalition have partnered with a THS Senior to bring a Campus Out of the Darkness Walk to Tillamook High and the wider community as their senior project.\n\nThis is a wonderful event that supports the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and their efforts to #stopsuicide. The best part\, 50% of the proceeds will help fund future suicide prevention programming in our area. Yet there is no pressure to fundraise. You can register and choose to participate in the walk without having to raise any money. Yet we highly encourage you to try and raise at least $100 because that earns you a walk t-shirt that you can pick up at the walk!\n\nWant to fundraise? Great! You can do so individually or you can also form a team and fundraise with others from your work\, organization\, family\, club\, etc. You just need someone to register as your team captain then the rest of your team registers under them.\n\nAll ages are welcome to register\, we just ask that everyone register so we have an accurate count for our walk with AFSP. No pets allowed at the walk as it is on school grounds.\n\nYou can register here: https://afspwalks.donordrive.com/tillamookhigh\n\nWe will kick off our event at 9:30am with registration/t-shirt pick up\, a resource fair\, and other programming. The opening ceremonies will be at 10am and the event should be done by 12pm. This event will happen rain or shine. The resource fair and other events will be inside the Auxiliary Gym and the walk will take place on the track. Please dress for the weather. You can walk as long or as far as you like in the time frame of the walk. There is no minimum distance required as we want the walk to be accessible.\n\nIf you have any questions\, please email Walk Chair Amanda Ferrat at tcscpinfo@gmail.com or call/text her at (503) 812-7444.
