Through examples from coastal habitats\, including tidal foodways\, prairie and wetland tending\, and fire ecology. Attendees will gain insight into how story\, ceremony\, and hands-on practice carry ecological knowledge forward. \nStephanie will discuss how weaving serves as both a cultural and ecological act of restoration\, and share her ongoing work through Rooted Ways\, a community initiative focused on reconnecting people and land through Indigenous leadership. \nThe program will include time for reflection\, audience Q&A\, and viewing of cultural items such as baskets\, plant materials\, and weaving displays \nThere is limited seating for this event; registration is required. Her job includes assessing salmon habitats and thinking of ways to make them healthier\, then putting those ideas into practice. Beverly has always enjoyed working with animals and has spent the last several years focusing on salmon. She’s previously worked at both the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife\, monitoring fishing activity and conducting surveys that look for salmon and their redds (spawning sites). She has a big passion for the ecosystems here in Tillamook County and is always excited to find ways to conserve and promote healthy habitats.
