Whether caused by storms\, wildfires\, or other hazards\, we know how disruptive power loss can be. The ERP will help identify vulnerable areas\, prioritize essential services\, and develop long-term strategies like community charging stations and emergency power systems. \nBut here’s the key—this plan is only as strong as the input we receive from the community. DESCRIPTION:The North Oregon Coast Symphony finishes its 2024-2025 season with two concerts in June titled “Echoes of the New World.” The programs will feature Antonín Dvořák’s beloved Symphony #9\, also known as the New World Symphony. \nAlso featured will be two pieces spotlighting NOCS’s graduating high school seniors.  Dylan Morrow will be the soloist for Max Bruch’s Kol Nidrei for Cello and Orchestra\, and violinist Audrey Cereghino for Soon Hee Newbold’s Invicta. \nJohann Strauss Jr.’s Emperor Waltz will round out this concert series. \nThe first concert will take place on Saturday\, June 14 at the Nehalem Elementary School Gym (36300 8th St.\, Nehalem\, OR) beginning at 3:00 pm. \nThe second concert will be on Sunday\, June 15\, at the Charlene Larsen Center for the Performing Arts (588 16th St.\, Astoria\, OR) at 3:00 pm. \n  \nAdmission for both concerts will be: $10 Adults\, ages 18 and under FREE (children 12 and under with adult supervision).   \nTickets will be available at the door for the Nehalem concert (cash and personal checks only.) \nTickets for the Astoria concert will be sold online at charlenelarsencenter.org or by phone at 503 338 9132.  Cookies and refreshments will be available at both concerts during intermission. \n  \nThis non-profit orchestra\, under the direction of conductor Cory Pederson\, brings together musicians from the north Oregon and south Washington coast to perform classical music for local audiences.  For more information\, please visit the the NOCS website nocsymphony.org.
