SUMMARY:STEAM Coach Volunteer Training
DESCRIPTION:You don’t have to be an expert\, just someone who is passionate about helping students learn. \nSpring field trip season will be here soon\, and the Tillamook County STEAM Partnership is gearing up to host hundreds of students on several different field trip programs in Tillamook County. In order for these programs to be successful\, the TC STEAM Partnership relies on community volunteers to fill a variety of roles as STEAM Coaches\, who lead or assist with activities\, help behind the scenes\, and so much more. STEAM Coaches are people who believe all students should be able to learn about science\, technology\, engineering\, art\, and math (STEAM) subjects through educational experiences that are hands-on and inquiry-based. \nThis Volunteer STEAM Coach Training is for new and returning volunteers who want to support Tillamook County K-12 students at upcoming environmental education school programs. The focus of the hands-on activities for this training will include wave energy\, solar energy\, the water cycle\, and more.
