Pop-up Ice Skating Rink in Garibaldi

The City of Garibaldi invites community members to join us during Thanksgiving weekend to enjoy the ice skating rink being brought in for two days. Skates will be provided, but you are able to bring your own if you have them.
The rink will be setup under the new outdoor covered play structure at the Garibaldi Grade School located at 604 Cypress Avenue – between 6th and 7th Street. There will be street parking available surrounding the school and additional overflow parking will be available at the Garibaldi Community Hall located on Acacia between 6th and 7th Street.
The rink will be open to the public on Saturday, November 27 from 1-5pm and Sunday, November 28 from 12-4pm. Admission is FREE!
The City will also be hosting a holiday market that will take place in both the Community Hall and the indoor gym located at the Garibaldi Grade School. The hours will be Saturday, November 27 from 11-6pm and Sunday, November 28 from 12-4pm.
The rink is only 40×40 and allows for 40 skaters at a time. We will have reservation sheets to sign up for a time slot if the demand maxes out the rink. Come early to avoid the line and/or sign up for a time slot and then browse the markets while you wait for your turn!
We will be following all required COVID protocols from OHA and the NKN School District including social distancing, mask requirements and contract tracing sign-in sheets.
